This theme-based research and making project consists of three interconnected sub-projects exploring how birth control can function as a form of oppression. The primary goal is to analyze how birth control policies across different countries intersect with—and at times intensify—political oppression. By examining these policies and their socio-political implications, the project reveals the complex ways governmental control over reproductive rights can shape individual freedoms, reinforce power structures, and influence broader societal dynamics.
